Loss and trauma can come in many forms, from losing a loved one, loss of a friendship, a job. Perhaps you are becoming an empty nester and are feeling that loss. It could be that the everyday of raising kids and working feels like an endless loop and you have lost yourself in meeting everyone's needs. Perhaps your childhood left large scars in your mind that affect your everyday decisions.
Life can be overwhelming.
Whatever it is that you have happening in your life… if it is weighing you down and keeping you from experiencing your full GLOW, then it is important, and you need a guide and map to get you from being lost in the forest, to that fun curious part of you that is looking forward to seeing what is around the next corner of the trail.
I thought I had everything I needed.
Until the unimaginable happened, and I was knocked to my knees.
I had waited 20 years to remarry, after just 10 months I discovered his infidelity. I confronted him about it, and he took his life that night. I remember the police cars coming up my driveway to give me this devastating news like it was yesterday.I felt lost, angry, confused, betrayed and disconnected - unable to find my way back to the light for what seemed like forever. Despite being a lifelong learner, and goal getter, completing dozens of integrative programs on mindset and emotional mastery, becoming a certified NLP trainer, Author of The Lemonade Stand Millionaire, an Entrepreneur since the age of 16 and even a certified advanced scuba diver remove. All the tools I thought I had to help me navigate such a sudden and unexpected loss, were lost to me as I learned to find solid ground again. I am Gail Diamond, and I've been there and back. I found my way back but it wasn't easy. I learned that I wasn't alone. That there were people just like me, who made it through to the other side of tragedy.
I have been an Entrepreneur since the age of 16, starting a trail riding facility that turned into one of Ontario's largest western riding schools many years later. I have taken on big projects and dreams that most thought were impossible. I have overcome many obstacles in my life.
This was not my first time experiencing devastation in my life, a failed first marriage led me to both emotional and financial devastation. That financial devastation inspired me years later to become the Author of The Lemonade Stand Millionaire, a book to teach kids and parents about money mindset, great habits and entrepreneurship.
I used my loss and created something that could help others to avoid the same pitfalls that I had. I also used these lessons to make sure my kids had a better relationship with money than I had.
